Thanks to a Lib Dem motion, Cambridge City Council have declared a climate emergency. But what we need is urgent action to support an aggressive goal for a carbon neutral city sooner, before it's too late.
At the City Council session in February, the the council passed a Lib Dem motion to declare a 'climate emergency' but refused to review the target date of 2050 for Cambridge to become a carbon neutral city. Scientists and climate groups agree that 2050 is simply too late and it is young people who will suffer if we don't have much greater ambition.
I'm calling for urgent action on air quality and carbon emissions from organisation across the city. To join my campaign, sign below.
